AUTOMATIC ON-LINE GAS ANALYSIS WITH AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES µGC AND GC
SRA INSTRUMENTS HAVE DEVELOPED SOLUTIONS FOR MULTI-CHANNEL GAS SAMPLE ANALYSIS

SRA INSTRUMENTS have developed automatic sampling systems that can handle up to 16 sample and reference lines (see description), associated with the PGCWIN supervision software which pilots and manages the chromatograph + selector cabinet unit.
On the basis of a laboratory µGC or GC, we offer the following:
  • A study of the analysis
  • The configuration of the chromatograph (valves, columns, detectors, etc.)
  • The appropriate sampling system
  • The supply of gas pressure reducing stations at the tapping points
  • A versatile user program: specific calculations (calorific value, density, etc.), trend curves, customized presentation of results, alarms, etc.
  • Analytical units mounted onto an analysis rack
  • Customized start-up and training
Micro chromatograph equiped with an automatic stream selector

Technical specifications:

  • Multi-position pneumatically-controlled selector
  • Continuous circulation of samples with flow regulation valve
  • Flow control rotameter - Heating of the valve and the pneumatic connections adjustable up to 175°C (300°C optional)
  • By-pass filter · Heated cabinet/chromatograph connection (optional)
  • Automatic piloting with PGCWIN software and a relay card, with the possibility of manual control
  • Logic output for valve advancement, with 4 to 16 logic inputs for position control, or 3 to 6 logic inputs for position control in BCD.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The sample and reference lines are connected to the cabinet. The samples continuously circulate in a rapid loop, and this circulation is ensured by the pressure of the sample or by a pump. The PGCWIN software allows the creation of analysis sequences with selection of the channels to be analyzed. The selected channel is then put into the chromatograph's circuit, while the other lines continue to be scanned. Calibration can also be performed automatically using a determined frequency. The selected reference line is put into the circuit, and calibration is performed on a programmed number of analyses. Values are automatically refreshed.
Connection to the automatic "multi-loop" injection valves

These valves are used to store gas samples in the calibrated loops. SRA INSTRUMENTS ensure the connection, assembly and pneumatic connections between the multi-loop valves and the Agilent Technologies micro-chromatographs and chromatographs. The valve and connections are installed in a table-top cabinet, or if desired in a frame or rack. Automatic piloting of the chromatograph/valve unit.

Special equipment based on µGC
